INTEC are pleased to announce that we will be one of the main sponsors for this years annual fraud & professional training event, in Birmingham

Dear Members

As the fraud levels continue to rise and Local Authorities are more at risk than ever, I would personally like to invite you to the LAIOG & IRRV Annual Fraud Event 2012. (LAIOG AGM included)

This two-day event includes conference dinner (but not accommodation) with an exhibition from leading suppliers & partners in our field. Our event is excellent value for money, as we have been able to reduce the delegate rate to £135 + VAT for members. I would like to thank our main sponsors Callcredit and INTEC who have enabled fees to be reduced.

For 2012 our programme has a variety of speakers, trainers and ‘best practice workshop sessions’ from Local Authorities and private partners. Click here for the Full Agenda

We are delighted to have 2 high profile keynote speakers;

  • Baroness Hanham CBE, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, speaking on Local Government Efficiency and Reform, and
  • Lesley Hume from the Cabinet Office Efficiency and Reform Group (ERG) whose remit is Fraud, Error and Debt.

Day one focuses on the ‘Here and Now’.

The DWP SFIS Implementation Team will be presenting the latest plans on the service, this will be followed by your chance to put questions to the team in our break-out room.

Day Two is looking at the future of Investigations in Local Authorities

It will highlight the areas defined in the National Fraud Authorities Fighting Fraud Locally Strategy.

CPD points are available for all training sessions and some workshops.

This is an ideal opportunity for members to network with fellow anti-fraud practitioners. I hope you will agree from the attached agenda we have an excellent line up which will be interesting and informative.

To book click here.

I very much look forward to meeting you at the event.

Regards

Debbie Gibbons
